Find Food Love With Jodi Moreno
We’re lucky to live during a time when we have so many food options. We can go into most grocery stores — anywhere in the country! — and cobble together enough ingredients to make an allergen-friendly feast. Speaking personally, we couldn’t even say that five years ago, outside of straight-up meat and veg.
On the internet, too, our options abound! Searching for dinner ideas on any given evening, we can enter almost any food into the search bar, add in “Paleo” or “Whole30,” “gluten-free” or even “vegetarian,” and there will be a cornucopia of recipe results, fitting our exact specifications. The world’s not perfect, but for those of us with food allergies, this is a veritable Golden Age.
But that luck doesn’t even take into consideration the clean food fairy godmother that is Jodi Moreno. In fact, since discovering Jodi and her blog, What’s Cooking Good Looking, we haven’t even needed to visit most of our old healthy food haunts. We’re not sure if you can actually be in love with a food blog but, if it’s possible, we’re probably there.
Jodi is a formally-trained chef, from a natural foods culinary program. She’s pretty obsessed with food (she spends her time developing recipes for brands, writing, or cheffing for small events and pouring over cookbooks), and the food she makes is obsessively pretty.
Jodi’s food philosophy revolves around the undeniable connection between health, beauty, well-being and food. Her recipes are healthy, taste amazing, and make us feel good from the inside out. There’s almost no dairy or gluten to be found, but there are tons of whole, seasonal ingredients, and a bounty of vegetables. It’s so good.
The pictures are magazine-worthy, too! In addition to food, Jodi was also professionally trained on film. See? She’s all that and a bag of apple chips.
